Update from Southeast Water

Good morning,

In total around 10,000 customers in Sussex have had their supplies restored, and those who are still without should see supplies return later today.

We are continuing to fill our network and fresh drinking water storage tanks that feed Crowborough, Wadhurst, Ticehurst and the surrounding areas. Currently, around 3,500 customers are without water.

It is expected that customers in the Crowborough area will be back in supply by mid-afternoon and all other areas by late evening.

We encourage people to be mindful of using water wisely when it returns to help maintain this recovery. As water returns, we urge everyone to check for leaks in their homes and businesses and if found, get them fixed as quickly as possible.

We are looking to set up a bottled water station for customers in the Handcross area this morning.

We understand the concern this has caused, particularly in the run up to Christmas. We are sorry to all customers who have been affected by this.
