Residents within Wealden are invited to a Benefits Day on Thursday 27th October 2022 to receive help and support with applications and funding.
The event will be hosted at Uckfield Civic Centre. Pre-booking is not required, and there will be officers on hand to discuss and help make an application for the following schemes, where relevant: Household Support Fund – for help with energy and food costs; Council Tax Energy Rebate – for help with energy payments; and Council Tax Reduction – a reduction on Council Tax charges.
Wealden District Council is holding the day to help all residents claim what they are eligible for.
Councillor Neil Waller, Wealden’s portfolio holder for Benefits, said, “We’re pleased to host another Benefits Day following the success of one held in August.
“This Benefits Day is aimed at helping those in the north of district, but all Wealden residents are welcome to attend. It is vital that residents receive the support that they are entitled to, and our officers at the open day will help and support them where possible.”
