Having agreed a new long term lease (until 31st March 2028), for the public conveniences at the Commemoration Hall, we are about to embark on a full refurbishment to bring them up to date. The council have now selected their preferred contractor and the finer details are now being worked out. Once we have an agreed start date and time scale we will update the website with a further notice.
Unfortunately, we have not yet received and updated lease from East Sussex Fire and Rescue for the Jardin. Therefore we are unable to proceed with any work in the Jardin. This is disappointing as we should be doing all the initial work prior to the nesting season. We will need to seek further guidance regarding the removal of the diseased which urgently need removing.
As always, we need ideas from you, especially to update and provide facilities for the older children and youths in the village. If there is anything you would like the council to consider please write to the clerk at Clerk@wadhurst-pc.gov.uk
