The new owners of what was the Wadhurst Household Waste Recycling Centre have applied for a Certificate of Lawfulness without restriction on the following:
a) the vehicle type or volume delivered to the site, and
b) the volume of waste throughout.
The Parish Council have OBJECTED to the application. The WPC raises concerns, amongst other things;
· that this is a change of use from a waste site for local householder use to a waste transfer station (where waste is brought in and collected/sorted before being sent away).
· the impact of additional heavy goods vehicles (including lorries delivering waste TO and from the site) on surrounding roads (especially the already congested High Street and narrow rural Faircrouch Lane)
· dangerous turn into/out of Faircrouch Lane with the Station Road (B2099)
· noise, smell and nuisance to neighbouring business park users and residents
Residents can comment, and further details can be seen online:
Application No. WD/880/CMCL (East Sussex)
Location: Faircrouch Depot, Household Waste Recycling, Faircrouch Lane, Wadhurst, East Sussex, TN5 6P
